About Me

I've enjoyed tinkering and making things for as long as I can remember. I'm often reminded that at a young age, I made various inventions for people, from small functioning bicycles, to experimental well pulleys, simply because it's what I enjoyed. It wasn't until I moved to Australia in my teens that I was first able to learn new techniques and use a large range of machines for my work.
Since then, I have been perfecting my skills at every possible opportunity, and when I get the time, I still like to make little bits and bobs for my trinket shelf to keep myself busy.

I found my true calling when I was given my first piece of silver to work with. I fell in love with the way it can be formed and forged, melted and carved, and I've talked many a customers ear off since.

Since discovering hand engraving at West Dean College, I've tried to use it as my focus in all of my projects, using it to influence form as well as embellish detail. I started off with simple line sketches and developed quickly developed my skills in order to carve animals from photos, like this pangolin here.
